Adapter sleeves

To remove the snap ring F 00V C23 002 without
damaging the CRI, there must be no clearance
between the CRI and dismantling tool. For some
CRIs, the adapter sleeve with ⌀ 17 mm or with
⌀ 18 mm must be used.

The document "Important information"
(1 689 989 345) indicates which adapter
sleeve is needed for a CRI.

To facilitate identification, the adapter sleeve
with ⌀ 17 mm is marked with 17 and the
adapter sleeve with ⌀ 18 mm with 18.

Operation

4.1

Preparations

¶
Wipe the CRI with a clean cloth.
¶
Make sure that the snap ring on the CRI can
be moved and rotated freely in the snap ring
groove.
¶
Fasten the dismantling tool in a vise using
sufficient clamping force.

4.2 Removing the snap ring from a
CRI with a solenoid valve
WARNING – Risk of injury from
falling parts!

Wear safety shoes.
¶
Fasten the dismantling tool in a
vise using sufficient clamping force.
1. In the document "Important information"
(1 689 989 345), check whether the CRI may
be used in the dismantling tool.

CRIs that are not listed in the document
"Important information" (1 689 989 345) can
be damaged when removing the snap ring
with the aid of the dismantling tool.
2. In the document "Important information"
(1 689 989 345), check whether an adapter
sleeve is needed for the CRI.
!
The CRI will be damaged during removal of
the snap ring if the adapter sleeve specified
for the CRI is not used in the described
manner.
3. If an adapter sleeve is needed, slide the cor-
responding adapter sleeve (Fig. 4, item 1) up
to the stop (Fig. 4, item 3) on the CRI.
