Precautionary labels

could occur if not observed. A symbol on the instrument is referenced in the manual with a
precautionary statement.
Electrical equipment marked with this symbol may not be disposed of in European domestic or public
disposal systems. Return old or end-of-life equipment to the manufacturer for disposal at no charge to
the user.

Product overview

This universal junction box is used to connect a flow meter (or other device with applicable pulse or
analog output) to the AUX I/O port of the AS950 sampler to do flow-based sampling. Refer to
Figure 1.
Table 1 and the label on the junction box cover give the terminal descriptions. Refer to
cover on page 7 for the location of the label.
The pulse or analog output supplied by the flow meter (or other device) agrees with the measured
flow volume. The higher the analog output or more frequent the pulses, the higher the flow volume.
The sampler uses the pulse or analog output to calculate the flow volume in accordance with the
AUX I/O port configuration settings of the sampler.
