Precautionary Labels

Read all labels and tags attached to the device. Personal injury or
damage to the device could occur if this information is not observed.
This symbol is a warning triangle. Follow all safety instructions
preceded by this symbol to prevent potential injury. If this symbol is
attached to the device, it refers to information in the operation and/or
safety sections of the user manual.
This symbol may be found on an enclosure or barrier within the
product and indicates a risk of electric shock and/or death by
electrocution.
Electrical devices marked with this symbol may not be disposed of
via European domestic or public disposal systems after 12 August
2005. In accordance with current regulations (EU Directive 2002/96/
EC), users within the EU must now return old electrical devices to the
manufacturer for disposal The user bears no costs for this process.
Note: Instructions on the correct disposal of all (marked and
unmarked) electrical products supplied or manufactured by
HACH LANGE can be obtained from your local HACH
LANGE sales office.

WA R N I N G
Chemicals can cause serious injuries if handled without the relevant protection.
Always wear personal protective equipment to detach and replace tubes in
accordance with the safety data sheets applicable to these chemicals.
C A U T I O N
Chemical hazard. Do not use the Pour-Thru Cell in tests that require the use of
organic solvents such as alcohols, toluene, chloroform, trichloroethane or
cyclohexanone. These solvents may not be compatible with the plastic
components of the Pour-Thru Cell, which creates the potential for damage to the
device and chemical exposure for the analyst.
Normal operation of the device may involve the use of hazardous
chemicals or biologically harmful samples.
Observe all cautionary information printed on the original solution
containers and safety data sheet prior to their use.
Dispose of all consumed solutions in accordance with national
regulations and laws.
Select the type of protective equipment suitable to the concentration
and quantity of the dangerous material at the respective work place.
Always rinse the cell and tubes thoroughly after use with deionized
water.
