CAUTION!
The red automatic button is only used to fasten the free end of the strap to
prevent it from flapping around while driving. Fastening the release button does not
guarantee that the helmet has been put on and fastened correctly.
ANTI-FOG LENSES
If the visor of your helmet is provided with or prepared to accommodate anti-fog lenses,
please follow the instructions below.
HOW TO INSTALL THE ANTI-FOG LENS
• Remove the visor from the helmet as instructed in the user and maintenance manual
for your helmet.
• Flex the visor and insert the anti-fog lens between the two pins in the helmet visor. The
seal must be in full contact with the visor to avoid the formation of condensation
between the visor and the lens.
• Remove the protective film from the anti-fog lens.
• Fit the visor back on the helmet as instructed in the user and maintenance
manual for your helmet.
HOW TO REMOVE THE ANTI-FOG LENS
• Remove the visor from the helmet as instructed in the user and maintenance manual
for your helmet.
• Gently flex the visor until there is no more tension, then gently remove the anti-fog
lens.
CAUTION! THE ANTI-FOG LENS SHOULD BE FITTED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE, MAKING SURE
TO PREVENT UNWANTED CORRUGATIONS WHEN FITTING IT, AS THIS WOULD COMPROMISE
ITS OPTICAL QUALITIES.
HELMET MAINTENANCE:
• Only use lukewarm water and a mild soap to clean and care for the helmet
and visor. Never use petrol, thinners, alcohol or other chemicals.
• DO NOT use abrasive cloths which could scratch the visor or damage the
paintwork. Clean the inside with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents or
other products that could affect the anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment of the visor.
• Dry helmets with wet interiors at room temperature without exposing them to
excessively hot air.
• Use suitable silicone grease to keep the visor movement mechanisms
lubricated.
• Only use original spare parts suitable for the specific helmet model for all
maintenance.
DURATION OF USE:
Under the removable helmet liner there is a marking on the inner shell showing the
manufacturing date of the helmet. Although Caberg S.p.A. uses only high quality
materials, it is recommended to replace the helmet, regardless of the material of the
outer shell, after 5 years of correct use from the date of purchase. Obviously, specific
circumstances require a replacement independently of how much time has passed.
