OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
• The saw blade may be very hot after use. Allow the blade to cool down or wear gloves when
removing a saw blade.
• Use only a standard reciprocating saw blade. Never try to use T- or U-shaped jig saw
blades. Failure to heed this warning could cause loss of control and can result in possible
serious injury.
3. Variable-Speed Trigger Switch and Switch-
Lock Button
Your reciprocating saw is equipped with a variable-
speed trigger switch (D) to turn the saw on and off
and to control the speed. The switch-lock button
(E) is used to lock the switch in the off position.
a. To turn the saw ON, press the switch-lock
button marked
squeeze the variable-speed trigger switch.
b. To turn it OFF, release the variable-speed
trigger switch. The switch can be locked in
the OFF position by pressing the trigger-lock
button marked

c. To vary the speed, simply increase or decrease
the pressure on the variable-speed trigger switch. The more tightly the variable-speed trigger
switch is squeezed, the higher the speed.
4. LED Worklight
The LED worklight (C), located on the front of the
saw, will illuminate when the variable-speed trigger
switch (D) is depressed. This provides additional
light on the surface of the workpiece for operation
in lower-light conditions.
The LED worklight will turn off when the variable-
speed trigger switch is released.
The LED worklight will blink rapidly if the tool has
stopped working in order to protect internal circuits
in the event of overheating. Wait for the tool to cool
down, at which point it can be started again.
The LED worklight will blink slowly to indicate that
the battery charge is very low.
