Installation

4.1

Mounting instructions

See figure 1(B). The cable reel is designed for wall or ceiling mounting.
Maximum installation height above floor is 4 m. Choose a position where the
cable is bent as little as possible against the outlet rollers.
Select a level surface on which to mount the reel and use the template to
mark the holes. Ensure that suitable fixing bolts are used and that they are
secured. The bolts must each stand a torque force of minimum 2300 N.
4.2

Cable outlet

The cable outlet can be fitted in two different positions according to these
figures. See figure 3(A). Choose a position where the cable is bent as little as
possible. See also figure 1(B).
4.3

Electrical installation

WARNING! Risk of personal injury.
Main circuit connection must be done by a qualified installation contractor.
The cable reel is delevered with a connecting cable. If another connecting
cable is required, choose a cable with at least the same design and quality as
for the distribution cable.
The following applies if an outlet socket is to be fitted:
• A minimum protection class of IP 55 is to be used.
• The earth (yellow/green cable) should be connected to the applicable
terminal in the outlet socket.
• Strain relief and flexible cable sheaths should be secured.
4.4

Ratchet mechanism

The cable reel is delivered with a ratchet mechanism which retains the cable
in the required outdrawn position. The ratchet will disengage if the cable is
drawn out a little further and the cable then recoils to the drum. It should be
noted that the cable should be held by hand as long as possible during the
recoiling (see figure 1(A)).
