OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
Preparing the device for work
Install the auxiliary handle positioning it and fixing all the screws (II). Between the spindle guard and the handle install the sleeve
deadening vibrations (III).
In order to install the given module connect its spindle guard to the motor spindle guard.
For this purpose it is necessary to pull the lock shank (IV) and place the extension shaft in such a manner that the lock shank is
aligned with the hole (IV). Then tighten the handwheel in order to secure the connection (V).
In an identical manner, if required, install the extension shaft, which permits to extend the working range of the device.
Through the opening in the clamping ring above the auxiliary handle pass the catch of the arm belt. (VI)
Preparation of the trimmer for work
Before the first use it is necessary to install a cutting element which is adequate for the task to be realised: the cutting line head
or blade, the cutting element guide, the additional handle and the arm belt. The cutting line head must be used exclusively to cut
grass.
The blade may be used to cut shrubs, hard plant sprouts, etc.
In order to install the guard of the cutting element, fasten it with screws to the spindle guard. (VII)
Depending on the selected cutting element, install the cutting line reel or the metal blade.
In case the cutting line reel is meant to be used, install the upper fixing plate and then, blocking the spindle so that it does not
rotate, screw the cutting line reel on. (VIII)
Attention! Before work may be commenced remove the guard from the knife located at the edge of the guard. The guard must be
kept in order to install it once the work has been concluded.
In case the cutting blade is meant to be used, install the upper fixing plate on the spindle. Install the cutting blade on the plate so
that the hole in the blade matches the protruding part of the fixing plate. (IX)
Install the lower fixing plate, the fixing plates guard and use the screw to secure the blade. (X)
Attention! Before work may be commenced, remove the guard of the cutting blade. The guard must be kept in order to install it
