Balancing Relative Volumes among Speakers
1. Select the desired surround mode (HALL, LIVE,
THEATER, DISCO, STADIUM).
2. Set the MASTER VOLUME control to the normal
listening level.
3. Play the component corresponding to the FUNCTION
selected.
4. Adjust the rear speaker volume relative to that of the
front speakers as desired.
Adjusting the Delay Time
5. Adjust the delay time as desired in 5 steps by
pressing the DELAY TIME button:
T15ms T20ms T30ms T40ms T50ms
LIVE: 15ms, 20ms, 30ms in 3 steps only
Playing Surround Sound
6. Adjust the MASTER VOLUME control for the most
appropriate overall volume.

BACK-UP SYSTEM

Back-up Memory Function

This system has two memory functions such as "Most
recent" and "Back-up".
"Most-recent" memory function
This function memorizes an FM or AM (MW)
broadcast station listened to when power was last
turned off, and searches for that broadcast station
automatically when you turn on power later.
"Back-up" memory function
This function conserves the already preset station
memories, and "Most-recent" memory function, even
in the event of a cut-off of power supply, as when
the plug is pulled out of the wall outlet, for 7 days.
When to Use RESET Switch
1. When this system is subjected to an electrical shock.
2. When the power is irregular.
In these cases, try the following (in power standby
mode):
— Rear panel —
Press the RESET switch lightly once or twice with a
pencil or a ballpoint pen.
Note: When the RESET switch is pressed, all the
memory will be canceled.
