Prolonged exposure to ozone gas is hazardous and may cause health
problems.
– Electrical installation must be in accordance with the National Electric Code
and/or any other applicable national or local codes.
– Safety and performance require that this instrument be connected and
properly grounded through a three-wire power source.
NOTE! PROCESS UPSETS: Because process and safety conditions may depend
on consistent operation of this sensor, provide appropriate means to maintain
operation during sensor maintenance, replacement or sensor or instrument
calibration.

2 Unpacking and Inspection

Inspect the shipping container. If it is damaged, contact the shipper immediately for
instructions. Do not discard the container. If there is no apparent damage, carefully
unpack the 5000TOCi Sensor. The box should contain the following items:
• 5000TOCi Sensor
• Installation Kit (see operation manual for list of contents)
• Operation Manual CD-ROM
• Quick Start Guide
• Product Insert Card
• Certificate of Test and Accuracy
• Declaration of Conformity
If items are missing or shipping container is damaged, notify Mettler-Toledo immediately.
