Close the unit cover and tank cover panel.
Turn key (13) to position "I". The unit is activated, and the battery charge
indicators (12) show the charge condition of the batteries.
Driving the unit
24
Drive levers (4) are located at either side of the operating console.
Applying thumb pressure to the levers causes the unit to move forwards;
pulling the levers back causes the unit to travel in reverse. The unit can
be used on gradients up to 2%. [Note: Technical Specifications refer to
a Steigleistung of 5% - PN]
If whilst the unit is travelling in reverse, the operator becomes stuck
between the appliance and a wall, for example, the motor is switched off
by safety switch (28).
As soon as the operator releases drive levers (4) the unit is brought to
a halt by the action of the motor and the gears.
If the unit is to remain stationary, apply parking brake (18). Control lamp
(19) on the operating console will then flash to indicate that the parking
brake has been applied.
Water supply
Push the water supply lever (10) forwards. Submerged pump (31)
switches on, and green lamp (11) illuminates. Set lever (10) to the
required position between MIN and MAX (regulates the flow of water).
Note: The position of the lever is set according to the type and
amount of dirt or soiling on the floor surface that is to be cleaned.
Activating the brush head
Press switch (24). The brush head motors start up, and brush head (1)
is lowered onto the floor.
For setting the brush contact pressure – see sub-section "Adjusting the
brush contact pressure".
Lowering the suction bar (5)
Pull out the suction bar actuator lever (14), and press downwards. The
suction bar is lowered, and the suction turbine is activated.
The suction bar automatically adapts to the floor conditions, and does
not require any further adjustment.
To adjust the angle or inclination of the suction bar – see sub-section
"Adjusting the suction bar".
Note: If it becomes necessary to drive backwards whilst cleaning is
taking place, you must first raise the suction bar.
