• Only mow with sufficient daylight or with appropriate
artificial lighting
• Keep hands and feet away from the cutting blade,
especially when switching on the tool
• Always ensure that the ventilation openings are kept clear
of debris
• Avoid operating the mower on wet lawns
• Keep proper balance and footing at all times; do not
overreach
• Keep proper footing on slopes and do not mow extremely
steep slopes
• Operate the mower at a walking pace only (do not run)
• Mow across the face of slopes (never up and down)
• Be extremely careful when changing direction on slopes
• Be extremely careful when moving backwards or pulling
the mower towards you
• Ensure that the cutting blade is at a complete standstill
when tilting the tool for crossing surfaces other than grass
and when transporting it to and from the area to be mowed
• Do not tilt the tool when starting or switching on the
motor, except if the tool has to be tilted for starting in long
grass (in this case, do not tilt it more than absolutely
necessary and tilt only the part which is away from the
operator); always ensure that both hands are in the
operating position before returning the tool to the ground
• Always keep hands and feet away from rotating parts
• Keep away from the discharge opening at all times
• Do not transport the tool while the motor is running
• Always switch off tool, disconnect plug from power
source, and ensure that all moving parts have come to a
complete standstill
- whenever leaving the tool unattended
- before clearing jammed material
- before checking, cleaning or working on the tool
- after striking a foreign object
- whenever the tool starts vibrating abnormally
• If the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign object or if
the tool should start making any unusual noise or
vibration, immediately switch off, allow the cutting blade
to stop, disconnect the plug and take the following steps
- inspect for damage
- replace or repair any damaged parts
- check for and tighten any loose parts

AFTER USE

• The cutting blade continues to rotate for a short
time after tool is switched off (do not touch rotating
blade)
• Store the tool indoors in a dry and locked-up place, out
of reach of children

USE
• Assembly instructions 2
- the sequence of the numbers appearing in the drawing
corresponds with the sequence of the steps to be
followed for assembling the lawn mower
! firmly tighten all screws
- fasten screws A so that handle B moves freely
• Cord restraint 0
- hook the loop in the extension cord over restraint C as
illustrated
- pull tight to secure the extension cord
• Adjusting guide handle !
Handle B can be adjusted into the following three
positions
- 'D' (drive position) -> for mowing at flexible working
height
- 'P' (park position) -> when emptying the grass box or
during work breaks
- 'S' (storage position) -> when storing the tool
• Adjusting cutting height (25-40-55 mm) @
! disconnect plug from power source and ensure
that the cutting blade has stopped rotating
- put handle B 3 in storage position 'S'
- turn the mower upside down
- locate the two front wheels as well as the two rear
wheels into the desired cutting height position (25, 40
or 55 mm)
- after adjusting cutting height, always check if grass
box E 3 is still securely in place
• On/off safety switch #
Prevents the tool from being switched on accidentally
- switch on tool by first pressing safety switch F and
then pulling trigger switch G
- switch off tool by releasing trigger switch G
! after switching off the tool the blade continues to
rotate for a few seconds
• Operating instructions
- hold the mower with both hands
- place the mower on the edge of the lawn and mow in a
forward direction
- reverse at the end of each turn, slightly overlapping the
previous cut strip
- keep the mower away from solid objects and plants
! only use the mower on dry grass
! for mowing long grass, first set the cutting
mechanism to the maximum cutting height, then
to a lower cutting height
! adjust your walking pace when mowing long
grass
• Storage $
- for saving substantial storage space put handle B 3 in
storage position 'S' and store the tool as illustrated;
empty grass box first
- do not place other objects on top of the mower when
stored
- store the mower indoors in a dry place
- always allow the tool to cool down before storing
• Replacing cutting blade %
- disconnect plug from power source
- simply remove/mount old/new cutting blade as
illustrated
