• If the carabiner serves to connect to the anchor point, check if it complies with
the recommendations in the paragraph ANCHOR POINT.
To connect to the anchor point, it is also possible to use webbing with a ring (EN
795) or anchor clip (EN 362).
WHEN THE HOOK CONNECTS, CHECK THAT THE LOCK SYSTEM IS SECURELY
IN PLACE.
CAUTION:
A carabiner is a crucial element for your safety (see corresponding note). Thus we
recommend:
• allocate a connector to one person each time it is possible,
• before each use check that it is not deformed, has no signs of wear, and the
securing mechanism works correctly,
• if the carabiner has a manual fastener, do not connect and disconnect it
repeatedly in the course of the work.
FOR SAFETY REASONS, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO SEND A CARABINER THAT HAS
STOPPED A FALL TO INSPECTION.
The harness must be connected to the arrest system ONLY WITH A DESIGNATED
DORSAL CONNECTER.
ENSURING SPACE FOR A FALL
Ensure before each use that in the event of a fall, there will be space below the
worker's feet, so that his/her feet do not collide with the structure or the ground.
A safety harness is the only means of catching the body whose use is permitted
with the fall arrest system.

3-2 EMERGENCY MEASURES

During each use of the arrest system, measures must be taken with respect to any
emergency that may occur (e.g., rescue in the event of a fall).
3-3 ANCHOR POINT
If possible, use anchoring equipment (fulfilling EN 795) or construction anchors,
solidly attached to the structure (wall, girder...). In each case ensure that the
anchor point:
• is correctly located and work is executed in a way that most limits the danger
and height of a fall,
• has a minimum rigidity of 12 kN,
• is located above the user,
• is located in the vertical axis of the working plane (maximum angle ± 30°),
• perfectly matches the connecting element used by the receiving equipment,
• does not has any sharp edges.
4 - AFTER USE
4-1 MAINTENANCE
Basic maintenance of your Honeywell Fall Protection safety equipment will extend
the life of the product or equipment and contribute to the reliable performance of
its security features.
Clean the equipment parts regularly, removing dirt, paint stains, corrosive or
dangerous substances, and anything that could cling to the components.
Do not use aggressive chemical agents (alcohol, acids, solvents) for cleaning!
Soap solutions are recommended:
1.
Söll anchorages are metallic,
2. For safety reasons, never repair the components. Damaged components
(e.g. after a fall) must always be replaced.

so it requires no uncommon maintenance.
