General safety instructions
To avoid malfunctions, damage and health hazards when working with the machine, the following
points must be observed in addition to the general rules for safe working:
The machine may only be operated, serviced or repaired by persons who are familiar with
it and who have been informed of the hazards arising from this work.
Only one person shall operate the machine.
Do not overload the machine!
Before start-up, check the machine for completeness and function.
Only use the machine if the safety devices are in good operating condition and properly
maintained.
Only use perfect tools that are free of cracks and other defects (e.g. deformations).
Remove tool keys and other adjustment tools before switching on the machine.
Choose a level, vibration-free, non-slip surface for the installation location.
Ensure sufficient space around the machine!
Ensure sufficient lighting conditions at the workplace to avoid stroboscopic effects.
Only work in well ventilated rooms!
Ensure a clean working environment.
Keep the area around the machine free of obstacles (e.g. dust, chips, cut parts, etc.).
Never leave the running machine unattended. Switch off the machine before leaving the
working area and secure it against unintentional or unauthorised recommissioning.
Ensure that unauthorised persons maintain a safe distance from the machine and keep
children away from the machine.
Use personal safety equipment: safety goggles, safety shoes S1, tight-fitting work wear,
and safety gloves (EN 388, class 3111) dust mask when working with or on the machine.
Wear a hair net if you have long hair.
The operation of the machine when being tired, as well as under the influence of alcohol,
drugs or concentration influencing medicaments is forbidden.
Keep any machine that is not being used out of reach of children.
11.2
Electrical Safety
Make sure that the ON-OFF switch is in the "OFF" position before connecting the machine
to the power source.
Always disconnect the machine from the power supply before cleaning, maintenance or
reparation work and secure it against unintentional reconnection.
Do not use the machine with damaged switch.
The plug of an electrical tool must strictly correspond to the socket. Do not use any
adapters together with earthed electric tools.
Each time you work with an electrically operated machine, caution is advised! There is a
risk of electric shock, fire, cutting injury.
Protect the machine from dampness (causing a short circuit).
When working with the machine outdoors, use extension cables suitable for outdoor use.
Only use suitable extension cables.
Check the cable regularly for damage.
Protect the cable from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Do not use the cable to carry the machine or to fix the work piece.
Use power tools and machines never in the vicinity of flammable liquids and gases
(danger of explosion).
Ensure that the unit is earthed.
Avoid body contact with earthed components.
11.3
Special safety instructions for this machine
Risk of injury for hands / fingers by rotating rollers during operation.
Risk of injury due to sharp edges of the workpiece.
Risk of injury: hair and loose clothing, etc. can be captured and wound up! Safety
regulations must be observed with regard to clothing.
Risk of injury due to contacting with live electrical components.
Risk on injury due to inhale harmful emissions.
Risk of injury to the eye by flying debris, even with safety goggles.
Always ensure that you are standing securely when working. Do not use the machine for
overhead work. Risk of hot liquid glue dripping onto the operating person.
