General programme for muscle strengthening by means of biphasic symmetrical TENS current.
Intensive muscle training with the objective to increase muscle strength without affect-
ing the muscle fibre composition.
32 minutes.
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
8 sequences of each 2 min. BF.SYM., 200 µs, 45 Hz, contraction rhythm 1/4/1/9, inter-
val time of 2 minutes after each sequence.
Sequence of gradually increasing and decreasing stimulation (fast ramp-up and fast
ramp-down) followed by a long interval time.
Adjust intensity level until the required contraction is reached. Do not increase inten-
sity during operation. Discontinue treatment if contraction strength weakens.
Specific programme for muscle strengthening by means of biphasic symmetrical TENS current.
Intensive muscle training with the objective to increase muscle strength of especially
the slow-twitch (=tonic) fibres.
40 minutes.
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
10 sequences of each 2 min. BF.SYM., 300 µs, 30 Hz, contraction rhythm 1/4/1/6,
interval time of 2 minutes after each sequence.
Intensive muscle training with the objective to increase muscle strength of especially
the fast-twitch (=phasic) fibres.
27 minutes.
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
6 sequences of each 1½ min. BF.SYM., 100 µs, 60 Hz, contraction rhythm 1/4/1/12,
interval time of 3 minutes after each sequence.
Sequence of gradually increasing and decreasing stimulation (fast ramp-up and fast
ramp-down) followed by a long interval time.
Adjust intensity level until the required contraction is reached. Do not increase inten-
sity during operation. Discontinue treatment if contraction strength weakens.
Combined programme for non-specific muscle strengthening by means of alternating
current. The training itself is started with and terminated by a muscle relaxation pro-
gramme (comparable to warming-up and cooling-down).
Intensive muscle training with the objective to increase muscle strength.
35 minutes.
No DC component, the risk for electrochemical damage (chemical burn) is minimal.
IF, 2,5 kHz, AMF 10 Hz, 1,5 min.
8 sequences of each 2 min. BF.SYM., 200 µs, 45 Hz, contraction rhythm 1/4/1/9, inter-
val time of 2 minutes after each sequence.
IF, 2,5 kHz, AMF 10 Hz, 1,5 min.
Sequence of gradually increasing and decreasing stimulation (fast ramp-up and fast
ramp-down) followed by a long interval time. Strong vibrations at the start and at the
end of the programme.
Adjust intensity level until the required contraction is reached. Do not increase inten-
sity during operation. Discontinue treatment if contraction strength weakens.
