for voltage and current as specifi ed in the pre-installation infor-
mation included with the product.
The installation of electrical devices and equipment (sockets,
switches, etc.) near the spa must be in compliance with legal stan-
dards and regulations in the country where the spa is installed.
For the equipotential connection as required by specifi c na-
tional standards, the installer must use the terminal provided
(standard EN 60335.2.60) under the electronic box (refer to the
pre-installation diagram of the product), and marked with the
symbol .
In particular, an equipotential condition must be established
for all metallic masses surrounding the spa, for example water
and gas pipes, metallic platforms, and so on.
JACUZZI EUROPE S.p.A. denies all responsibility:
If installation is carried out by personnel unqualifi ed and/or unau-
thorised to certify the work carried out.
If current norms and legal provisions regarding the electric systems
of buildings in the country in which installation is carried out are
not complied with.
If the instructions for installation and maintenance contained in
this manual are not followed.
If unsuitable and/or uncertifi ed materials are used for installation.
If the spas are not installed in compliance with the above provi-
sions.
If incorrect operations are performed that reduce the level of pro-
tection of the electrical equipment against water jets, modify the
protection against electrocution due to direct or indirect contact,
or produce abnormal conditions of insulation, current leakage or
overheating.
If any components or parts of the appliance are altered in relation
to the original state when supplied, releasing the Manufacturer
from any liability.
If the appliance is repaired by unauthorised personnel or if spare
parts are used other than the original ones supplied by Jacuzzi Eu-
rope S.p.A.
Check of operation
First start-up
Remove the thermal cover from the spa and remove the front
and side panels, if present (refer to the corresponding chapter).
Check that the fi lter cartridge is present in its container and
that the various components are properly installed (see the chap-
ter on maintenance of the fi lter cartridge).
Check that the drain valve on the base (and the ball valves, if
installed) are closed (refer to the pre-installation instructions en-
closed with the product).
NOTE: the pipe that connects the overfl ow to the drain must always
be left open (refer to the pre-installation instructions).
Check that all the hydromassage intakes are open.
Fill the spa so that the highest nozzles (back) are covered.
4-5 cm
Il riempimento verrà fatto con il sistema deciso preventivamente
Filling will be performed as decided beforehand by the customer
(see pre-installation sheet, "Preparation for installation" chapter).
If you use the hose for garden work, let water run for a while
before fi lling the MaxiJacuzzi. This will eliminate stagnant
water in the hose along with any bacteria that may cause ir-
ritations.
We recommend you have the water that you intend
to use to fi ll the spa analyzed, especially for water
hardness. Water that is too soft or too hard may dama-
ge some of the components of the tub (see the section
on "Water hardness"); whereas impurities in well wa-
ter may clog the cartridge fi lter and create problems
with the pumps and the hydraulic system.
Turn on the all-pole circuit breaker located on the power sup-
ply line (see the chapter on connections and electrical safety).
Notes:
- When fi rst turned on, all of the numbers and LEDs on the control
panel will turn on. Following, the display will show the codes for the
software and fi rmware versions.
- In general, when the spa is fi lled for the fi rst time, the water tem-
perature is lower than the set point set by the factory 35 °C). For this
reason, the heater and the pump, at low speed, are turned on. In
any case the control panel will display the temperature of the water
in the tub.
- If the message "FLO" appears on the display, the pressure switch/
fl ow switch of the heater may be faulty. Please see chapter "Abnor-
mal operating conditions - Alarm signals".
