Draining the tub

It is a good rule to empty the spa regularly (about every 4-8 weeks),
in order to ensure a change of water and proceed with tub cleaning.
If you are away for any length of time, it is advisable to empty
the spa, as long periods without carrying out water treatment can
damage the spa.
CAUTION
Before emptying, make sure that the chemical additive
values in the water are within the permitted limits.
If in doubt, contact the local authorities.
DO NOT EMPTY THE WATER INTO A SEPTIC TANK.

Winter inactivity

In areas where winter temperatures frequently drop below 0°C,
during periods in which the spa is not used, proceed as follows:
Turn off the power supply on the main panel.
Completely drain the spa via the drain valve, which is to be
left open, and the possible gate valve installed on the auxiliary
drain (if installed; refer to the pre-installation instructions).
The emptying of the spa is not complete; stagnant water on the
seats and bottom of the tub can be eliminated with a sponge, while
water left in the hoses can be sucked out through the hydromassa-
ge and suction intakes, using a liquid-suction pump. It is advisable
to empty the pump as well via the appropriate drain plug.
IMPORTANT
In cold climates, where temperatures drop well below 0°C,
all residual water should be eliminated from the circuit.
Remove and clean the fi lter cartridge and store in a dry place.
Cover the spa to keep it clean.
Before you use the spa again, refer to the chapter on opera-
ting checks for fi rst start-up.
In areas where temperatures only occasionally drop below 0 °C,
the spa can be left in operation, since it is equipped with an anti-
freeze protection that ensures that a minimum water temperatu-
re is maintained (see the chapter "Setting water temperature", which
contains paragraphs on maintaining the minimum water temperature
and preventing freezing of water in the pipes - "Smart Winter" mode).

MAINTENANCE

Keep the spa covered at all times when not in use. In this way,
along with keeping the water from getting dirty, you will also
avoid heat loss and evaporation.
Periodically clean the hydromassage and suction nozzles.
CAUTION
After cleaning, immediately put the grilles of the aspira-
tion nozzles back in place. These safety devices must co-
ver the suction intake in order to reduce the risk of hair
or other body parts getting caught. The intakes must be
cleaned with the bath empty.
Remember to refi t all the parts before re-fi lling the spa.
The suction intake grilles must be checked at least once
a week.
The surface of the spa is brilliant, smooth, resistant and long-
lasting. With proper maintenance, care and cleaning, its charac-
teristics will remain unchanged over time. To clean the bath and
intakes, use a soft cloth and neutral liquid detergents, which
must be non-abrasive and ammonia-free.
The most stubborn stains can be removed using thinners
compatible with the staining product (acetone or suitable thin-
ners). In these cases, great care must be taken, drying the thinner
with a soft cloth immediately after removing the stain to prevent
it attacking the surface of the bath.
To restore the initial shine to the surface if there are traces of
scale, use car polish. Any traces of nicotine left by cigarettes can
also be eliminated with cotton wool and polish.
Regularly clean the headrests using a cloth, soap and water.
You are advised to use protective products to increase water re-
sistance and maintain their shiny appearance.

Maintenance of cartridge fi lter

The fi lters in the skimmer must be periodically cleaned, accor-
ding to the amount of use the spa is subject to, and replaced when
necessary, when they show signs of deterioration.
The cartridges are available from Jacuzzi® authorised dealers
and Service Centres.
Check the skimmer at least once a week to remove any sedi-
ment such as leaves, hair, etc.
Check the fi lter from time to time. When the spa is used
normally, the fi lter should be checked at least once a week. If
