CAUTION
Do not use the spa if the water temperature is 40 °C or
more.
Maintenance of minimum temperature of water in tub and
anti-freeze protection of the pipes ("Smart Winter").
At regular intervals, the system reads the actual temperature. If
it is below the minimum admissible value (15 °C - 59 °F), the heater
and the fi ltering pump are automatically activated until the tempe-
rature rises above that value.
"Smart Winter" lets you make use of a special probe to monitor
the temperature of the compartment under the tub, which contains
the all of the pipes of the plumbing circuit. In extreme conditions,
the system may turn on this protection (indicated on the display by
the message ICE). The pumps will be turned on according to the fol-
lowing confi gurations:
With limitation of electrical consumption
The pump is turned on at high speed, and turns off after 1 minute.
During this cycle the heater is turned off but will be reactivated later.
Without limitation of electrical consumption
The operating mode remains the same, except for the heater,
which remains operative.
The pumps are turned on at preset intervals, depending on
the temperature:
- temperature between 12 and 15 ° C (54 - 59 °F):
Every 2 hours
- temperature between 9 and 12 ° C (48 - 54 °F):
every hour
- temperature between 6 and 9 ° C (42 - 48 °F):
every 30 minutes
- temperatures at or below 6 ° C (42 °F):
every 15 minutes
NOTES
- If the temperature of the compartment drops rapidly, the frequen-
cy of activation increases.
- If it becomes necessary to turn on the anti-freeze protection du-
ring the fi ltering or rapid fi ltering ("Boost") cycles, those cycles will
be suspended and they will resume when the anti-freeze cycle is
complete.
- If it is necessary to perform an anti-freeze cycle while a function
activated by the user is in progress, the cycle will be activated 15
minutes after the end of the function.
- If this protection is active, the spotlight may still be turned on.
Water fi ltering
The water needs to be fi ltered to keep it clean, clear and inviting.
The pump runs the water through a cartridge fi lter in the skimmer
(see the chapter on "Maintenance of cartridge fi lter"). This opera-
tion takes place based on a cycle during the day (fi ltering cycle)
which repeats every 24 hours.
The Unique spa is also equipped with a special kind of fi ltering
("Boost"). This is instantaneous fi ltering, which diff ers from the nor-
mal cycle due to its brief, intense duration.
General Information
The pump has two speeds: a low one used to circulate and fi lter
the water, and a higher speed to activate the hydromassage jets.
Some models are equipped with an ozone generator (optional)
which helps disinfect and purify the water. When the fi ltering cycle
is started, the generator starts automatically, and shuts off at the
end of the cycle.
The fi ltration cycle has two phases:
Start
The pump is activated for 1 minute at high speed.
Continuation
The pump shifts into low speed and the ozonator is also activa-
ted (if present) for the remaining time in the cycle.
Setting the fi ltering cycles
To set the fi ltering cycle:
Press the "Light"
ds. The display will show the message dx, where "x" indicates the
duration in hours.
Use the key "Up/Down"
from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 12 hours.
NOTE: hold the key down until you reach the desired value. If the
display is equipped with two separate keys, press the key "Up" to
increase the value or the key "Down" to decrease it.
Press the "Light"
value and to continue the programming of the start delay, com-
pared to time "0", of the cycle (parameter sy, where "y" indicates
the number of hours).
ATTENTION: the time "0" is the moment at which the spa is powe-
red on using the main switch, or the moment at which the parame-
ters are memorized. for example, you set as the cycle start delay to
"4", it means that fi ltering will start 4 hours after you turn on the spa,
or after memorization of said parameters.
Set the start delay (from a minimum of 9 to a maximum of 23)
using the key "Up/Down"
to save the entered value and exit from the programming mode.
When this function is active, the LED of the respective symbol
will turn on. If the LED is blinking, it means that the cycle has been
suspended, see the relative chapter for more information.
