5.7 Optional: connecting a
SmartConnect
Materials required
 Slotted screwdriver
CAN cable (not included in the scope of delivery)

You have the option of ordering a CAN cable from
the manufacturer.
Recommended cable type:
– LS9Y11Y 2 × 1 + O2YSC11Y 2 × 2 × 0.5
Requirements:
– Maximum cable length: 350 m
– Jacket: weather-resistant, suitable for earthing
and UV-resistant
Split ferrite with spanner (included in the scope of

delivery)
Cable ties (included in the scope of delivery)


Connecting the CAN cable

Procedure
1. If required, fit the end of the wire with a cable end
sleeve.
2. Use a slotted screwdriver to open the contact
spring of the connecting plug.
