Problems
The machine does not turn on.
The machine does not operate con-
stantly.
The coffee is not hot enough.
Hot water or steam does is not di-
spensed.
The coffee is not creamy enough.
The machine requires too much
time to warm-up, or not enough
water is dispensed from the steam
wand.
The brew group cannot be remo-
ved.
The machine grinds the coffee be-
ans but no coffee comes out.

Coffee comes out of the top or
sides of the dispensing spout
Note: These problems can be considered normal if the coffee blend has been changed or if the machine has
just been installed; in this case wait until the machine performs a self-adjusting operation as described in
section 5.1.

Possible Causes
The machine is not plugged into an
electrical socket.
Possible malfunction.
The cups are cold.
The hole of the steam wand is
clogged.
The Pannarello is dirty.
The blend needs to be adjusted, the
coffee is not freshly roasted, or the
grind is too coarse.
The water circuit is clogged with
limescale.
The brew group is out of position.
The coffee grounds drawer is inserted.
The brew group is dirty.
The dispensing spout is dirty.
Rare event that occurs when the machi-
ne is automatically adjusting the dose.
Rare event that occurs when the machi-
ne is automatically adjusting the dose.
The coffee is too fi ne.
The brew group is dirty.
The dispensing spout is clogged.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Resolutions
Plug the machine into an electrical so-
cket.
When the machine is not brewing, turn
off and unplug machine. Plug machine
in again and power on.
Preheat the cups with hot water.
Clean the hole of the steam wand with
a pin.
Before attempting to unclog the ste-
am wand be sure that the machine is
off and cool.
Clean the Pannarello.
Change the coffee blend, or adjust the
grinder as described in section 5.2.
Descale the machine.
Turn the machine on. Close the service
door. The brew group will automatically
return to the proper position.
Remove the coffee grounds drawer be-
fore removing the brew group.
Clean the brew group (section 9.1).
Clean the dispensing spout.
Brew a few coffees as described in sec-
tion 5.1.
Brew a few coffees as described in sec-
tion 5.1.
Change the coffee blend or adjust the
grind setting as described in section
5.2.
Clean the brew group (section 9.1).
Clean the dispensing spout, including
the nozzles.
