4LED tail lights
These installation instructions relate only to the retrofit of the "Black-Line" LED tail lights on vehicles
with the equipment version (PR no.) 8SQ, replacement of the plug connectors is not necessary for
vehicles with the PR no. 8SK. For vehicles with the PR no. 8SK, only the LED tail lights will be
installed and connected via "Plug&Play".
Left-hand drive vehicles also require additional parts (4 tail light cluster connectors – black –
1K8.972.928 ), see ETKA.
Right-hand drive vehicles also require additional parts (2 tail light cluster connectors – black
– 1K8.972.928 and 2 tail light connectors – brown – 1K8.972.928.A), see ETKA.
Work to be carried out, general:
1. Disassemble the original LED tail lights.
2. Replace the tail light connector.
3. Mount the retrofit LED tail lights.
4. Function test.
The installation instructions must be read before starting work!
The conversion must only be carried out by qualified specialists!

2. Replace the tail light connector:
Remove all connecting lines from the existing plugs on the left and right tail lights using a suitable
release tool. Before doing so, carefully open the secondary interlocks on the side. Use the identical
chamber numbers to simultaneously reinsert the existing lines into the new connector housing.
