Type A" gas appliances
- Not designed for connection to a line for discharge of
the products of combustion.
- These appliances must discharge the products of
combustion into appropriate hoods, or similar de-
vices, connected to a ue of proven e ciency, or may
be connected directly with an outdoor vent.
- If such an arrangement is not possible, the unit may be
connected to an air exhaust system which leads
directly outdoors, having a capacity which corre-
sponds to requirements.
CONNECTION TO GAS-SUPPLY SYSTEM
- The unit must be connected to gas mains by means of
exposed galvanized steel or copper pipes.
- Each appliance must be connected to gas mains with
its own shut-o cock installed in an easily accessible
position. The appliance pipes must be connected to
the gas supply pipes with a three-piece metallic union,
to facilitate disassembly and re tting of the appliance.
Union thread airtightness may be checked using
materials speci cally certi ed by the manufacturer for
use with gas.
The unit must be supplied with the correct type of gas
(see speci cations plate) having the characteristics
reported in the technical speci cations chart.
CHECKING SUPPLY PRESSURE
- Gas supply pressure must be measured using a liquid
pressure gauge (for example, a U-shaped gauge,
minimum de nition 0.1 mbar).
- Remove the gas-supply pipe tap setscrew located: at
ramp tube inlet for the 15 and 20 liter models,
and at valve inlet for the 8, 10 and 30 liter models. ( g. 4)
- Connect the U-shaped pressure gauge
- Switch on the appliance and all the connected
equipements, to the maximum setting.
- Measure inlet pressure, which must correspond
to speci cations listed on the chart.

ATTENTION:
recommended one, could extinguish the burners and
cause working malfunctions.
- Remove the U-shaped pressure gauge
- Tighten setscrew " A ".

CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS

- After completing the installation procedure, check for
gas leaks. To do so, brush soapy water on the unions
or connections; a leak will show up as foamy bubbles.
- Another system for checking for gas leaks is to check
that the gas meter, if installed, does not signal any
passage of gas during a period of approximately ten
minutes.
WARNING: An open flame should NEVER be used
to check for GAS leaks.
