Hydraulic system requirements
The following is required for an optimum performance of the hydraulic drive unit:
-
Provide a volume flow of 15 to 50 l/min at an operating pressure of 90 to 140 bar.
-
The system should not have more than 17 bar back pressure. The system conditions
for measurement are at maximum fluid viscosity of 82 centistokes (minimum operating
temperature).
-
The hydraulic system should have sufficient heat rejection capacity to limit the maximum
oil temperature to 60° C at the maximum expected ambient temperature.
It is recommended:
-
That filter elements are sized for a volume flow of at least 114 lpm for cold temperature
startup and for maximum dirt holding capacity.
-
The hydraulic system should have a minimum of 10-25 micron full-flow filtration.
Connecting the hydraulic supply to the hydraulic drive unit
Your hydraulic drive unit is an open center tool.
WARNING – Never use the hydraulic drive unit without a pressure reducing valve in line! The
recommended setting for the pressure reducing valve is 145-155 bar.
