Use and maintenance of welding and cutting ma-
chines can be dangerous. Please draw user´s atten-
tion to follow the safety precautions to avoid injuries.
Welding and cutting machines must be used appropri-
ate and only by specialist staff. Please inform yourself
constantly about the valid safety precautions and reg-
ulations of accident prevention by working with this
machine
.
Sparks develop during welding. This can lead to the ig-
nition of combustible materials.
Remove all flammable material from the welding area
for fire prevention before welding.
Do not weld at containers which were filled up before
with flammable materials (fuel).
All inflammable material in the welding area which
could be inflamed by sparks must be removed.
Do not expose the unit to rain, steam and do not spray
water in it. The unit must not be moist and also must not
be operated under moist ambient air conditions.
Upon welding, the radiation of the arc can cause dam-
age to the eyes. Never weld without a welding mask
and welding lenses of the respective protection level.
Warn persons in your vicinity about the arc radiation.
Gases that develop during welding are harmful to one's
health. Please use absorbers or other systems to absorb
the gases.
It is not possible to absorb all the gases correctly please
use a breathing apparatus.
Stop operation immediately at a defect or damaging of
the mains cable. Do not touch the cable. Unplug the unit
before each service or repair. Do not use the machine
if the mainscable is defect.
Place an extinguisher near the welding area.
Check the welding area against fire after welding.
Never try to repair a defect pressure reducer. Danger
of explosion! Replace the defect one.

For Your Safety
Do not use a unit with a damaged housing.
The unit may be connected only to
– a properly grounded mains supply. The power outlet and the exten-
sion cable must be fitted with an operative protective conductor.
– a power supply unit with sufficient power.
Keep attention to connect the ground cable near the welding loca-
tion. Welding current through chains, ball-bearing or steel-cables
may destruct or melt it.
Secure yourself and the unit at higher or inclinational places.
Wear correct protective clothing, gloves and leather apron.
Protect the welding area with curtains or mobile walls against rays.
Do not thaw frozen waterpipes or conductions with this unit.
In high electrical risk areas (in confined spaces) it is only allowed to
use machines with
-sign.
S
Switch the unit off before pulling the mains plug and when taking
breaks.
TIG Welding: Secure gas cylinder to a wall bracket or a cylinder
cart with the securing chain against falling over. It is strictly required
to shut the gas cylinder valve during breaks and after finishing the
welding.
Disconnect the plug from the mains before changing the welding
area or repairs at the machine.
Never open the unit briefly after operating it off the mains supply.
Heated-up components and capacitors charged at high voltages
can pose a danger.
Do not insert objects through the ventilation grid. You could receive
a lethal power shock.
To mark the machine, do not drill into the housing or attach rivets.
Use adhesive labels.
Use only original Würth parts and accessories.
Please follow the current safety regulations corresponding to your country.
Unit protection
The unit is electronically protected against overload. However, do not op-
erate the main switch under load.
The unit is cooled by means of a cooling fan.
Therefore, pay attention that the air outlet 5 is never obstructed.
Do not insert any objects through the ventilation slots. This could cause
damage to the cooling fan.
Never attempt to weld when the cooling fan is defective, but have the unit
repaired.
Do not use stronger fuses than the mentioned fuse protection on the type
plate of the unit.
For transport, carry the unit in horizontal position with the carrying strap.
Duty cycle
The duty cycle is based on a cycle time of 10 minutes. DC 60 % thus means
a welding time of 6 minutes.
