Use the safety chain to secure the gas cylinder
against falling over.
Remove the gas cylinder before transport.
Pull the mains plug before moving the appliance
or performing work on the appliance.

Intended Use

The machine is designed to weld steel, alumin-
ium and alloys both in commercial and industrial
environments.
• The machine is used for DC TIG welding of:
— Unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy steels,
— Copper and its alloys,
— Nickel and its alloys,
— Special metals such as titanium, zirconium and
tantalum.

Environmental Conditions

Temperature range of the ambient air:
• In operation:
-10 °C ... +40 °C (+14 °F ... +104 °F)
• Transport and storage:
-25 °C ... +55 °C (-13 °F ... +131 °F)
Relative humidity:
• Up to 50 % at 40°C (104°F)
• Up to 90 % at 20°C (68°F)
Operation, storage and transport can only occur
inside the specified areas! Use outside these areas is
classed as incorrect use.
The ambient air must be free of dust, acids, corrosive
gases or other harmful substances!
The user is solely responsible for damage
resulting from improper use.

Safety Instructions

To mark the appliance, do not drill holes into the
casing and do not attach rivets. Use stickers.
Use only genuine Würth accessories and
spare parts.
The appliance is electronically protected against
overload. Do not, however, actuate the main switch
with the device under load.
The device is cooled by a fan.
Therefore ensure that the air inlet [9] is clear at all
times.
Do not insert any objects through the ventilation
slots. They could damage the fan. Never weld with
a defective fan; arrange for immediate repair of the
machine.
Never use stronger fuses than the fuse rating indi-
cated on the type plate of the device. Transport the
device in a horizontal position using the detachable
handle.
Cyclic duration factor (ED)
The cyclic duration factor (CDF) is calculated based
on a working cycle of 10 minutes. A CDF of 60%
thus corresponds to a welding time of 6 minutes.

Noise / vibration information

The noise emission measured in accordance with EN
60 974-1 at normal load and maximum operating
point is less than 70 dB(A).
Check for compliance with provisions
stipulated in the German BGV
The operating company of commercially used
welding equipment is obliged to have the appliances
checked in accordance with directive EN 60974-4
at regular intervals appropriate for the frequency
of use. Würth recommends having the appliance
checked every 12 months.
Additional safety checks have to be performed after
modifying or repairing the appliance.
