Mounting on a tree
Lay the protective mat around the tree to protect it.
Protection mat
Insert the strap, at the elongated opening, from behind through the mounting plate and guide the strap
back out at the opposite opening. Pull the strap through so it fully encloses the tree and tighten the
strap.
Ratchet lever
Fully open the ratchet (3) and thread the loose end of the strap through the axis of the ratchet (1). Pull
the strap through until there is just enough clear space between the tree and the strap and make sure
that the lever points outwards. Alternately move the lever back and forth (2 + 3) to rotate the belt onto
the axle. If you want to release the strap, open the ratchet completely (3) and pull the strap out (4).
