The PF-12
compact photometer enables measurements in the wavelength range from
345–690 nm. The light generated by the xenon lamp is passed through an interference filter
into the cuvette slot of the instrument. After passing through the sample, the proportion of ab-
sorbed light is calculated by detecting the attenuated light. The proportion of the absorbed light
is converted into the concentration of the investigated analyte using a stored calibration. The

PF-12
allows the measurement of nephelometric turbidity (NTU) in the range 1–1000 NTU
due to the specially placed 860 nm LED. The NTU-Check automatically controls the turbidity
with each measurement.
