25 Network configuration

4 Network configuration
The devolo WiFi 5 Repeater 1200 has a built-in
web interface that can be called up using a stand-
ard web browser. All settings for operating the de-
vice can be modified here.

4.1 Calling up web interfaces

There are a few ways to reach the online web
interface
following the initial set-up:

Use a web browser on your terminal device to
call up the address http://devolo.wifi.
Upon
devolo WiFi 5 Repeater 1200 establishes a
temporary Wi-Fi network with the name
"devolo WiFi 5 Repeater 1200". This net-
work does not yet have an Internet connec-
tion. Connect to this network with your
terminal device (no password is required).

You can use the Home Network App on your
smartphone or tablet to access the web inter-
face of the device.

4.2 General information about
the menu
All
menu
functions

the description in the manual follows the structure
of the menu. The figures for the device interface
serve as examples.
Repeater or access point

Menu pages and/or options that are only shown in
one mode are identified with a note.
Login
For information on how to call up the web
interface of the device, refer to the previous
Chapter 4.1 Calling up web interfaces.
The web interface is not password protected.
Assigning a login password is recommended when
logging in for the first time to prevent
unauthorised access by third parties.
