4.3 Configuration wizard
In the Configuration wizard section, define the
device as a Repeater or as an Access Point.
For detailed information on setting up the device,
refer
devolo WiFi 5 Repeater 1200.
4.4 Network settings
In the Network settings section, define settings
for your LAN network. There are two options:

If a DHCP server is already present on the net-
work for giving out IP addresses (e.g. your
Internet router), you should leave this variant
activated so that the adapter automatically
receives an address form this server.

If you want to assign a static IP address, make
individual entries for all required fields.

4.4.1 Automatic IP address assignment
Installing
LAN-side IP address
Under LAN-side IP in the IP address assignment
field, select the option DHCP client so that the IP
address is automatically obtained from a DHCP
server. The currently assigned network data is visi-
ble (greyed out).
The Standard Gateway is the first address in the
home network node, e.g. that of your Internet
router (192.x.x.x).

If you activate the user-defined option, enter
the custom address that you want to use.

If you activate the From DHCP option, an
address is automatically obtained from the
DHCP server.
DNS server, LAN-side
DNSs (Domain Name Systems) are name servers
that assign the corresponding IP address to a URL
