Do not get distracted or lose count of the laps. Each time the participant returns to
the starting line, click the lap counter once.
After the completion of the 6-Minute Walk Test, the following screen appears:
If applicable, enter a reason for stopping the test ahead of time and confirm with
<OK>.
The recovery phase will start automatically.
If the patient is exhausted
before the 6 minutes have
elapsed, the Walk Test
can be stopped ahead of
time by tapping on
<Stop Test>.
Reasons for immediately
stopping include the
following:
(1) chest pain
(2) intolerable dyspnea
(3) leg cramps
(4) staggering
(5) excessive perspiration and
(6) pale or ashen appearance
