The Body-Mass-Index (BMI), impairment of lung function (FEV1%pred), dyspnea
and the physical exercise capacity (result of the 6-Minute Walk Test) are the
parameters used to calculate the BODE-Index. This index shows the various forms
of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and can be used to evaluate the
further course of this disease. Best value is "0"; worst value is "10".
The higher the BODE-Index, the poorer the prognosis.

After the 6-Minute Walk Test, the BODE-Index is automatically displayed in the
RESULT-window and is printed on the report generated in "Standalone" mode.
Source of error:
Excessive light shining on the
infrared sensor of the Sp02 finger
probe
Bluetooth connectivity is lost as the
patient and the tablet are too far
apart

Corrective Action:
Ensure that the Sp02 finger probe is not
exposed to excessive external light.
If necessary, turn off some lighting in the room
or shade from direct sunlight.
Do not select the lap distance greater than
100 m.
The user can select in the preparation phase
which model of oximeter is to be paired using
Bluetooth connectivity to the tablet.
