• In the case of oversensitivity of the bronchial system, medicines containing essential oils
can sometimes cause acute bronchiospasm (a sudden, cramp-like tightening of the bron-
chi accompanied by breathlessness). In case of an emergency call 911 immediately.
• If you start feeling any discomfort, pain, drowsiness or other change in your condition, stop
using the unit immediately. For medical advice please contact a licensed physician. If you
have an emergency please call 911 immediately.
• Always follow your physician's instructions regarding the type of medicine to be used, the
dosage, frequency, and duration of inhalation. Any improper use may cause hazardous
situations.
• Apart from the prescribed medication, use only distilled water or a saline solution in the
unit. Other liquids may cause health problems. Always consult your physician to determine
what will be suitable for you. Furthermore, other liquids may damage the nebulizer, atom-
izer and accessories.
• Always use close adult supervision when administering a treatment to a child. NEVER
LEAVE CHILDREN UNATTENDED WITH THIS DEVICE.
• This device is not intended to be used by persons with restricted physical (e.g. activity limi-
tations, disabilities), sensory (e.g. insensitivity to pain) or mental abilities (e.g. mental dis-
orders) or persons lacking the required experience or knowledge for safe operation of the
device, unless closely supervised by a person responsible for their safety. NEVER LEAVE
THOSE WHO REQUIRE CLOSE SUPERVISION UNATTENDED WITH THIS DEVICE.
• To reduce the risk of increased bacterial growth, infection, illness, injury from contamina-
tion or other health risks always follow all hygiene instructions (see section 8.1 "Cleaning
and Disinfection") when using this unit. Unplug the unit before disinfection or cleaning the
unit.
• Before each use, check that the hose connections on the nebulizer [7] and the atomizer
[10] are tight. Use of an improperly assembled nebulizer could diminish or prevent ade-
quate delivery of medication and the effectiveness of the treatment.
• Never block the air vents of this product or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or
couch, where the air vents may be blocked. Keep the air vents free of lint, hair and similar
substances. Blockage could cause excessive heat buildup.
• Never cover the unit during operation. Covering could cause excessive heat buildup.
• Essential oils, cough medicines, solutions designed for gargling, and drops for application
to the skin or for use in steam baths are wholly unsuitable for inhalation using a nebulizer.
These substances are often highly viscous and can impair the correct function of the de-
vice and hence affect the effectiveness of its application in the long term.
• Check the atomizer, mouthpiece, and any other optional components before each use.
Dirty, damaged and/or worn parts may diminish or eliminate the effectiveness of treat-
ment. Replace damaged and/or worn parts. Dirty parts must be cleaned following all hy-
giene instructions. (see section 8.1 "Cleaning and Disinfection")
• Never use an atomizer with a clogged nozzle. If the nozzle is clogged, the aerosol mist will
be reduced, altered or stopped, which will diminish or eliminate the effectiveness of the
treatment.
• Follow the instructions for changing the filter contained in these instructions (see section 7
"Changing the Filter"). A contaminated filter can impair the correct function of the device
and represents a risk to your health.
NOTICE
• Use the nebulizer intermittently; the maximum operating period is 30 minutes. The nebu-
lizer must stand unused for 30 minutes between uses.
