OPERATING
1. Turn ignition OFF.
2. Depressurize system by pumping brake pedal to floor at least 20 to 40 times.
3. When you feel a pronounced increase in pressure against your foot. Pump pedal three more
times.
4. Refer to vehicle service manual to find correct location to attach test assembly. Continue with
steps 5 to 10. These are divided according to manufacturer.
TEVES
5. Remove accumulator with O-ring from pump body.
6. Thread adapter into pump body and install accumulator onto adapter as shown in figure above.
7. Caution: Brake fluid is under extremely high pressure.
8. When testing the pressure on Teves systems, do NOT open bleed valve when accumulator is
charged. Bleed valve must be tightly closed before turning ignition ON to start the pump.
9. Use vehicle service manual procedure for testing hydraulic pressure.
10. Follow procedure outlines in Step #2 to release pressure from system before removing gauge
assembly.
BOSCH
5. Remove bleeder screw from caliper.
6. Thread adapter into caliper only until seated.
7. lnstall the pressure gauge assembly on adapter and tighten.
8. Turn ignition to RUN until pump/motor stops. Turn ignition OFF. Note: When bleeding air from
gauge assembly, wrap a shop towel around the bleed valve to prevent brake fluid from spraying.
9. Use vehicle service manual procedure for testing hydraulic pressure.
10. Follow procedure outlines in Step #2 to release pressure from system before removing gauge
assembly.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories
and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner
which is compatible with the environment. Contact your local solid waste authority for
recycling information. Dispose of this product at the end of its working life environmentally.
