6.10 Metering

The function allows an estimate of the amount of heat the system is able to transfer from a
source such as a solar panel to a storage tank.
With this function enabled, the following appears under the probe readings on the main screen:
• Instantaneous power transferred in kW
• Energy stored over time in kWh

Flow p.
Set the probe used to measure the flow temperature.
Ret. probe
Set the probe used to measure the return temperature.
Type of glycol
Select the type of glycol used in the system. If glycol is not used, select any one.
Glycol percentage
Set the percentage of glycol used; if glycol is not used, set to zero.
Flow rate
Set the system flow rate in l/min
ΔT corrector
Correction factor. Set in % a correction between the "read" value and the real exchange value.
Consider a solar panel with probe S1 and a storage with probe S2, the storage is thermally
loaded with the solar panel. S1 and S2 are the probes used to detect the metering calculation
temperatures. Normally the storage inlet and outlet temperatures, which actually exchange
energy, are different from those read on S1 and S2. The parameter makes it possible to correct
this difference.
The ΔT corrector must be set to the value 100* (actual ΔT - measured ΔT)/measured ΔT.The
valued obtained is expressed in %.
Example
S1=50°C, S2=30°C, Storage inlet temperature=49°C and storage outlet temperature=32°C
The ΔT measured by the controller is 20°C(50°C - 30°C), the actual exchange ΔT is 17°C (49°C – 32°C)
The ΔT corrector must therefore be set to the value -15% (100*(17-20)/ 20)
