Repeat Function
All or one of the tracks, or a specified
portion (between A-B) of a track can be
played repeatedly. Program playback can
also be repeated.
∑ To repeat a single track
(Single repeat mode)
1. In the stop mode, press the [repeat]
button, then press the [single] button on
the remote control.
The SINGLE and REPEAT indicators
light.
2. Press the play [∏] button.
The current track will be repeated.
3. The track to be repeated can be
changed by pressing the [Ú / Æ]
buttons or numeric buttons.
4. Press the play [∏] button.
O In this way, the selected track will be
played back repeatedly.
O Single repeat play can also be engaged
during playback.
∑ To repeat an entire disc
(All Repeat mode)
1. Press the [repeat] button.
The REPEAT indicator lights.
2. Press the play [∏] button.
Playback starts and, when the end of
the disc is reached, the player will
return to the beginning of the first track,
and
then
playback
repeatedly.
O All repeat play can also be engaged
after playback has started normally, by
pressing the [repeat] button.
∑ To repeat a designated section
(A-B repeat mode)
A specified portion (between A and B) of a
track can be played repeatedly.
1. Press the numeric buttons or the play
[∏] button to start playback.
2. Designate the point at which playback
should start (point A) by pressing the
[A-B] button.
The REPEAT indicator lights and A-B
indicator blinks to show that point A has
been entered.

3. Press the [A-B] button again (A-B and
REPEAT light steadily) at the ending
point (B).
The portion (A-B) will be played
repeatedly.
O After designating point A, when quick
searching point B, use the [Ò] or
[Æ] button instead of playing back
normally.
O A-B repeat playback of portions
extending over more than one track is
not possible during programmed
playback, delete-programmed playback
or single playback.
O To cancel Repeat playback and resume
normal playback, press the [A-B]
button.
∑ Programmed repeat playback
continues
Repeat function can be activated even
in the programmed playback mode.
To repeat all the programmed tracks,
press the [repeat] button.
O When the [single] button is pressed ON
during programmed repeat playback,
the track currently playing will be
played back repeatedly. In that case,
the original program will be erased.
O Any of the repeat functions can be
released by pressing the [repeat] button
again, so that the REPEAT indicator
goes off. If this is done during playback,
the player will continue normal
playback.

Music Search Operation
∑ Music search using [ / Ò]
buttons (SEARCH)
During playback or in the pause mode, hold
down the [Ò] button to move the playing
position quickly in the forward direction,
and hold down the [] button to move
quickly in the reverse direction.
During the manual search operation, sound
will be audible but the output level will be
lowered. This lets you search for any
required portion while checking the sound.
When the desired position is reached,
release the button to reenter the previous
mode.
O During the normal play mode ( or in the
programmed playback mode), when the
player reaches the end of the disc (or
program) after the [Ò] button has
been pressed, the player enters the
pause mode whereas when the player
reaches the beginning of the disc (or
program) after the [] button has
been pressed, the player enters the
playback mode.
O In the single repeat mode, holding the
[] or [Ò] button will move the
playing position within the current
track.
O In the program playback mode, holding
the [Ò] or [] button will move to
the next or previous programmed track
respectively.
