2.2 Global Travel Insurance Coverage
Provided that Product is within warranty, and is used in normal, ordinary course, the following defective Products
parts, by way of example without limiting other conditions of this policy, are eligible for repair or replacement
service: motherboard, memory module, CPU, hard drive, optical drive, LCD panel, battery, and adapter (limited
to types of voltage applied at the local place of repair only). Keyboards are not covered under global travel
insurance.
2.3 Global Travel Insurance Repair Time
Repair time under the global travel insurance may vary due to parts availability and the nature of the Product
defect. The service centers will keep you informed and updated regarding possible repair completion times or any
related changes.
2.4 Global Travel Insurance Limitations
The global travel insurance does not provide the service of replacing eligible Product(s) as a complete unit.
The service center does not provide the service of re-installing any updated device driver, operating system or
any other non factory installed software.
The service center does not provide data backup services for data stored in the Product to be repaired. To
prevent any data loss, please make sure you have backed up important data before sending the Product in for
repair.
The service center does not accept Product part(s) sent in separately for repair by the customer.
2.5 Condition Requiring Payment Under The Global Travel Insurance
The following conditions do not fall within the scope of the global travel insurance. If MSI determines that
Product defect is the result of one or more of such conditions, MSI may refuse repair service or charge you fees
(labor, parts, shipping if applicable) for Product repair:
You are unable to present the Product's warranty card, purchase receipt or invoice proving that Product is still
within the warranty period;
Any damage to or scrapes on the Product cover;
damaged keyboards; such part may be purchased from the service center;
The warranty card has been intentionally altered or its date is intentionally rendered difficult to decipher;
The Product has not been purchased from a MSI authorized distributor;
The Product or its parts are no longer under warranty;
Any breakdown or damage caused by non-compliance with the prescribed uses set forth in the user manual, or
improper packaging, storage and use;
Any breakdown or damage caused by installation, repair, modification or removal (breaking, damaging or
losing MSI's manufacturer warranty sticker) performed by service centers or personnel not authorized by MSI;
Any product breakdown or damage caused by the use of parts not certified by MSI;
The serial number pasted on either the Product or its part(s) is broken, defective or does not match MSI's
records;
Any breakdown or damage to Product, Product appearance, or its parts or peripherals caused by accidents or
