8.6 CHECKING THE BATTERY
Check the electrolyte level of the battery every
100 operation hours. Always keep the battery
electrolyte between the highest and lowest
reference lines. If the electrolyte is beneath the
proper level, replenish distilled water. When white
powder is on the polar terminal, wipe it away and
apply Vaseline.
Do not use or charge the battery when its electrolyte level is at or below "LOWER" (lowest level line).
If you keep using the battery with the level at or below "LOWER", the inside of the battery is rapidly
deteriorated not only to shorten its life but also to cause an explosion.
