Vanes
We recommend that the vanes on the motor be re-
placed after approx. 500 operating hours.
7.2
Lubrication
If the tool is not used for longer periods, e.g. for a
weekend, introduce 1 or 2 drops of lubricating oil
into the compressed-air supply [5-1] on the tool
prior to use.
7.3
Replacing the silencer
In order to maintain the power and performance of
the compressed air tool, replace the silencer on the
IAS hose systems at regular intervals.
7.4
Cleaning the extraction channels
We recommend that the extraction channels in the
tool [3] be cleaned using a small pipe-cleaner
brush or a cloth once a week (especially when
sanding resin filler). For this purpose release the
sanding base with the 4 screws.

Accessories
Use only original Festool accessories and Festool
consumable material intended for this machine be-
16
cause these components are designed specifically
for the machine. Using accessories and consum-
able material from other suppliers will most likely
affect the quality of your working results and limit
any warranty claims. Machine wear or your own
personal workload may increase depending on the
application. Protect yourself and your machine, and
preserve your warranty claims by always using
original Festool accessories and Festool consum-
able material!
Festool offers the appropriate sanding and polish-
ing attachments for every application.
The order numbers of the accessories and tools can
be found in the Festool catalogue or on the Internet
under " ".

Do not dispose of the device together with domes-
tic waste! Dispose of machines, accessories and
packaging at an environmentally responsible recy-
cling centre. Observe the valid national regulations.
