3. Getting to know your device
The MP 48 UV nail dryer is intended for artificial nail modelling using UV or LED nail gel� It can be used to
apply artificial nails to fingernails or toenails�
The special tunnel-like structure of the device reliably ensures that the nail coating sets evenly� You can
define the application duration depending on the type of nail gel using the built-in timer function (30, 60 or
120 seconds)�

4. Intended use

Use the device exclusively on human nails for setting UV or LED nail gels� The device is only intended for
the purpose described in these instructions for use� The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting
from improper or careless use� The device is intended for domestic use only, not for commercial purposes�

Before using the device, read the safety notes through carefully�
Non-observance of the following information may result in personal injury or material damage� Store these
instructions for use and make them accessible to other users� Make sure you include these instructions for
use when handing over the device to third parties�
• Do not use the device if you have been diagnosed with skin cancer, suffer from unusual discolouration of
the skin, take medicines which increase sensitivity to light or suffer from an illness which increases your
sensitivity to light�
• Store the device out of the reach of children� The device is not suitable for children under 14 years�
• Keep packaging material away from children to avoid danger of suffocation�
• Do not place or store the device in a location in which it is able to fall or be pushed into a bath, sink or
other container containing water� Do not place the device in water or allow it to fall into water or any oth-
er liquid� This can lead to a severe electric shock� Never reach for a device that has been submerged in
water� Disconnect the mains adapter immediately�
• Never look directly at the UV/LED light�
• Do not use the device during pregnancy�
• Overexposure to UV radiation may cause sunburn to the skin� Too frequent exposure to UV radiation may
lead to skin changes and increases the risk of skin cancer�
• Excessive exposure to UV radiation can cause damage to the skin and eyes� Please seek medical assis-
tance if you notice any changes to your skin�
• If you are aware of any allergy to UV/LED radiation, consult your doctor before using the device�
• Keep sensitive areas of skin such as scars and tattoos away from radiation�
• Never pull the mains adapter out of the socket using the mains cable or with wet hands�
IMPORTANT
• Never place any objects on the device� Do not cover the device while it is in operation�
• Protect the device from impacts, humidity, dirt, chemicals, marked temperature fluctuations and direct
sunlight�
• Make sure that the side air vents of the device are not covered�
• Repairs must only be carried out by Customer Services or authorised suppliers� Failure to comply will in-
validate the warranty�
• Never use the device near open flames or hot surfaces�
• Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged, does not function properly or if the mains plug or mains
adapter is damaged� In these cases, contact Customer Services�
