Switching ON/OFF (1).
First check that the cable and plug are
not damaged.
Only switch on the power tool once the
quick-clamping lever (2) has been swung
back and engaged.
Switching the power tool ON:
Slide switch (1) forwards ( I ).
Switching the power tool OFF:
Press the switch (1) down at the
back ( 0 ).
When switching on, the motor starts run-
ning gently after a short delay.
If the power supply is interrupted while
the power tool is switched on, or the
power tool is plugged in when it is in
switched-on mode, a safety circuit pre-
vents it from starting to run automatically.
To put the power tool into operation,
briefly switch it off and on again.
Adjusting the protective guard (4).

Risk of injury
by switching the tool ON unintentionally.
Before adjusting, pull out the mains plug.
Press locking lever (a) upwards and
keep it pressed.
Turn the protective guard (4) to the
required position.
Let go of locking lever (a) and engage
protective guard (4).

Secure or change the grinding
tool (3).

by switching the tool ON unintentionally.
Before changing the tool, pull out the mains
plug.
Use the following clamping units:
for the rough grinding or cut-off grinding
disc – the clamping unit for the rough
grinding and cut-off grinding disc,
for the fibre grinding sheet in conjunction
with the elastic backing pad the clamping
unit for the elastic backing pad (acces-
sory).
Release the quick-clamping lever (2)
and swing fully open.
Unscrew the clamping unit (3) by hand.
Change the grinding tool or place it on.
Screw in the clamping unit (3). Tighten
the clamping unit by hand until it is
clearly felt to notch.
Swing back the quick-clamping
lever (2) and engage.
Cleaning and care.

Before cleaning, pull out the mains plug.
Storing:
For protecting against damage and dirt,
screw in the clamping unit by hand and
engage the quick-clamping lever.
Carry out the following once a week, or
more often if the power tool is used more
frequently:
Clean the venting openings.
Blow out the motor space from outside
with dry compressed air.
