3. If you do not succeed in lighting the burner, you must return all the knobs (6) to the
DK
closed, vertical position (A). Wait for a couple of minutes, and then try again. If you
still have no luck, turn off the gas again and wait for a couple of minutes until the
gas has dispersed.
DE
4. As a last resort, turn the central knob to position B again, and try lighting the
middle burner (14) with a match. If it still does not ignite, the grill has probably
UK
been assembled incorrectly, or the gas bottle is empty. Check the gas bottle,
regulator and joints. Please note that it may take up to 2 minutes before the flames
are burning stably from all the holes in the burners.
ES
Regulation
In position A the burner is off. In position B the burner is on full. Turning the knob
FR
downwards from position B gradually reduces the heat. When the knob is turned to
position C, the burner burns at the lowest possible setting without being extinguished.
IS

Turning-off

Turn off the grill by turning all three control knobs to the vertical position (A). Then
IT
open the door to the gas bottle and turn off the gas regulator.
NL
Warnings concerning turning-off:
• Always close the gas regulator on the gas bottle after use. Remember that children
playing may accidentally turn the knobs on the grill and cause gas to leak out.

Cooking without a lid
PT
Start by lighting all the burners one by one. Leave the grill to burn for 10 min. until the
grid is hot.
SE
Make sure that the drip bowl (8) is clean and is sitting correctly under the grill. You
can now regulate the individual burners so the heat suits the foods to be cooked. You
FI
can use the grill with any combination of burner settings. One burner often provides
enough heat and allows you to place the pieces of food so they are slowly warmed up
– which is an advantage when warming bread for example.
Roasting with dome lid
We recommend that you do not use the domed lid with all the burners on. When the
lid is on, the temperature increases quickly.
To cook using indirect heat, the food should be placed right at the back of the grid near
the high rear edge, and only the front burner (15) should be switched on. Keep an eye
on the thermometer (1), which only indicates the approximate temperature.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always check that the grill is cold before cleaning it. Wash the grill with hot water and
a mild detergent. Then rinse well with clean water and wipe dry. Remember to clean
the grill thoroughly at regular intervals, and use a grill brush to clean the grid after use.
The surface of the grill is prone to damage if sharp implements or abrasive cleaning
agents are used to clean it.

The gas grill is supplied with a black grid made of enamelled steel which must be
cleaned after use – but only ever with a grill brush with brass bristles.
The grid, flame tamer and the burner compartment will gradually become darker
as they are exposed to heat. Such darkening cannot be cleaned off, but any food
residues can be removed using a brass grill brush. Please note that a grill brush with
steel bristles will damage the surface, which will then be more likely to rust.
For a particularly thorough clean, a mixture of soft soap and household ammonia may
be applied to the grid and the flame tamer. Place the parts in a sealed plastic bag
for several hours, preferably overnight. Then remove them from the bag and clean
according to the normal procedure.
The burners (13, 14 and 15) may gradually become clogged up. Clean the burners
regularly when they are cold using a stiff brush, and check that the holes in the pipes
are not blocked. To clean the burners or the inside of the grill bowl thoroughly, it
is possible to remove the burners completely. See below for details. The drip bowl
should be cleaned every time the grill has been used. Wait until the grill has cooled
down before cleaning. Remove the drip bowl (8), and check whether there is an
accumulation of fat. Remove the fat from the drip bowl to avoid it catching fire when
using the grill, and wash the bowl in hot soapy water. Then rinse with clean water.
Reinstall the drip bowl (8). Do not use aluminium foil in the drip bowl.
Annual cleaning of burners and insect net
At least once a year, it is necessary to clean the grill's insect net, and burners should
be checked and cleaned to ensure optimum burning (5). The insect net can be found
at the end of each burner. A clogged-up and dirty insect net can obstruct the flow of
gas and cause it to flow backwards, which can cause serious damage to the grill.
1. Make sure that the grill is cold, and that the gas supply is switched off.
2. Remove the cooking grid and the flame tamer.
3. Unscrew the three screws with washers on the outside of the grill bowl near each
leg.
4. Then disconnect the two wires that run from the spark lighter by pulling them
carefully out of the connections.
5. Gently lift the burners (5) out of the grill bowl. Do not tamper with any other parts
of the grill.
6. Then ensure that the insect nets and the holes in the burners are not clogged-up or
dirty. It is important to keep the insect nets and burners clean, so remove any dirt
with a soft brush etc.
Once you have finished cleaning, replace the burners in the grill. Reconnect the two
wires from the spark lighter. Replace the three screws with the washers, and tighten.
Replace the flame tamer and the grid, and reconnect the gas supply.
Warnings concerning cleaning:
• Never use scouring pads to clean any visible surfaces. Even plastic scouring pads
will scratch the surface.
