Air Cleaner

(Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 55.)
The air cleaner should be serviced at regular intervals
(page 56). Service more frequently when riding in
unusually wet or dusty areas.
1. Remove the right side cover (page 44).
2. Remove the air cleaner housing cover (1) by
removing the screws (2).
3. Unhook the retainers (3) from the air cleaner
housing, then remove the air cleaner case (4).

4. Take out the air cleaner A (5) and air cleaner B
(6).
5. Clean each air cleaner by tapping it lightly to
loosen the dust. Blow away the remaining dust
by applying compressed air from the side of the
carburator, or replace if necessary.

Do not soak the air cleaners in oil.
