Air Cleaner
(Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 43.)
The air cleaner should be serviced at regular intervals
(page 45). Service more frequently when riding in
unusually wet or dusty areas.
1. Remove the seat (page 34).
2. Remove the air cleaner housing cover (1) by
removing the screws (2).
3. Pull out and clean the air cleaner element (3) using
compressed air from the out side, or replace if it
necessar y.
4. Install the air cleaner element.
5. Install the air cleaner housing cover and screws.
6. Install the seat.

Crankcase Breather
(Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 43.)
1. Remove the crankcase breather tube plug (1).
2. Drain deposits into a suitable container.
3. Reinstall the crankcase breather tube plug.
Service more frequently if your motorcycle is ridden in
the rain or often at full throttle. Service the breather if
you can see deposits in the transparent section of the
crankcase breather tube.
