Follow the additional ACS 611 menu prompting.
<Recovery> key
1. Connect the HP and LP service hoses to the vehicle
air conditioning system.
2. Open the valves on both service hoses.
3. Open the HP and LP valves on the display and
control panel.
4. Call up the start screen.
5. Press <Recovery>.
ACS 611 performs a self-cleaning process.
i
Self-cleaning is necessary when the weight of the
extracted refrigerant must be precisely determined.
The self-cleaning can be skipped by pressing
<MENU>.
The recovery is started automatically after the
self-cleaning.
i
The self-cleaning is stopped automatically when
the pressure in the vehicle air conditioning system
reaches 0.
i
Multiple oil draining cycles are conducted to
optimize the recovery. After the last cycle, ACS 611
tests within a set waiting time whether any
increase in pressure can be detected. In the event
of a pressure increase, the recovery is restarted.
The amount of refrigerant extracted is displayed
on the screen after the recovery.
6. Close the HP and LP valves on the display and
control panel.
7. Close the valves on both service hoses.
i
After the recovery phase, you must confirm
whether the stored vehicle data should be deleted.
i
After the recovery, the extracted oil quantity can
be entered using the numerical keys and printed by
pressing E .
i
Return with <Stop>.

Vacuum phase
i
Make sure recovery has been performed before
generating the vacuum.
i
The vacuum phase is not started if there is
pressure in the vehicle air conditioning system. A
corresponding fault message is displayed on the
screen.
!
Follow the additional ACS 611 menu prompting.
<Vacuum> key
1. Connect the HP and LP service hoses to the vehicle
air conditioning system.
2. Open the valves on both service hoses.
3. Open the HP and LP valves on the display and
control panel.
4. Call up the start screen.
5. Press the <Vacuum> key.
6. Enter duration of vacuum generation with <0 – 9>
and confirm with E.
ACS 611 performs the vacuum phase.
i
After the vacuum phase, the time is started for
the pressure monitoring (leak test). After this time
has elapsed, the vehicle air conditioning system is
tested for leaks. The result from this leak test is
displayed on the screen.
7. Close the HP and LP valves on the display and
control panel.
8. Close the valves on both service hoses.
i
After the vacuum phase, you must confirm whether
the stored vehicle data should be deleted.
