3.3. DEVICE USE
Function control
Before testing the device, make sure that the food tray is
locked. Carry out the test in the following order:
1.
Press the „I" (ON) button and the „O" (OFF) switch-
off.
2.
Check if all indicator lights are working properly.
3.
Check the feed of the food tray and pusher.
4.
Check the operation and regulation of the plate
using the knob.
5.
Check the operation of the sharpener.
6.
Check if the device turns off after unscrewing the rod
mounting the blade cover.
Loading and cutting comestible products
CAUTION: Load food on the tray only when the slicing
thickness regulation knob is in the „O" position, and pay
special attention to the blade and sharp edges.
The procedure proceed as follows:
1.
After placing the product on the tray and resting it
on the plate, lock it with the pusher.
2.
Set the desired slicing thickness with the thickness
regulation knob.
3.
To avoid accidents, the operator of the device must
face the device and be in the correct position: put his
right hand on the pusher handle and then the left
hand next to the deflector (do not touch the blade),
the body must be in a position perpendicular to the
working surface (see Fig. 4a).
CAUTION: Be careful so that no part of the body
comes into contact with the blade (see Fig. 4b).

4.
Turn the device on with the „I" button.
5.
Smoothly move the trolley (tray + bracket + pusher)
towards the blade by holding the pusher handle. Do
not press foodstuffs using the pusher, as they are
pressed down by gravity. The blade will slice food
and the slices will be led through the deflector to the
bottom plate (see Fig. 5).

6.
Do not use the device when there are no comestible
products.
7.
After slicing the products, turn the knob to the „0"
position and turn the device off by setting the switch
to the „0" position.
8.
If the surface of the product being sliced is jagged or
rough and the slicing process becomes tedious, the
blade should be sharpened.

BLADE SHARPENING

CAUTION! Take special care due to the possibility of injury.
1.
Make sure that the device is turned off and
unplugged.
2.
Thoroughly clean the blade with alcohol.
3.
Unscrew the knob (1), raise the sharpener (2) to the
position where it locks and rotate it 180 ° (see fig. 6).

4.
Then push it all the way so that the knife of the blade
is between the two sharpeners. Lock the knob.
5.
Turn the device on by pressing the „I" (ON) button.
6.
Press the button (3) and allow the knife of the blade
to rub against the sharpener for 30-40 seconds, until
a barb forms on the edge of the blade (see Fig. 7).

7.
Press and hold buttons (3) and (4) simultaneously
for 3 or 4 seconds, then simultaneously release the
buttons. (see fig. 8).

Clean the sharpeners when sharpening is finished.
9.
Return the sharpener to its original position. Follow
the directions for preparing for sharpening in reverse
order.
CAUTION:
Do not exceed 4 seconds when removing barbs to
prevent dangerous curving of the cutting edge.
Wash the blade thoroughly after each sharpening
operation.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Before each cleaning, maintenance or replacement
of the accessories, as well as if the device is not in
use, turn it off, pull out the mains plug and cool the
device completely. Wait for the rotating elements to
stop and set the thickness regulation knob to „0".
b)
Wash the device at least once a day or more often if
necessary.
c)
Elements that are in direct contact with food should
be washed thoroughly.
d)
Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
e)
Use only mild, food-safe detergents to wash the
device.
f)
Use water and a neutral detergent for cleaning.
g)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
h)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
i)
Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water.
j)
The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical efficiency and spot any damage.
k)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
l)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects for cleaning
(e.g. a wire brush or a metal spatula) because they
may damage the surface material of the appliance.
Washing the food tray
The tray, arm and bracket can be removed by following the
instructions below (see fig. 9):
a)
Set the thickness regulation knob (1) to „0".
b)
Place the trolley (tray + bracket + pusher) at the end
of the feed (direction a), near the control elements.
c)
Loosen the screw (3) and move the trolley up
(direction b)
d)
After dismantling the trolley, you can thoroughly
wash the food tray with hot water and a neutral
detergent (pH 7).

Washing the blade, the blade cover and the blade annular
cover. Unscrew the rod securing the blade cover (1) and
remove the blade cover (2) (see Fig. 10).

CAUTION: Clean the blade with metal gloves and a damp
cloth. When cleaning the blade, which is still installed in the
device, set the slicing thickness knob to „0".
To clean the blade from the other side, it must be removed.
The blade disassembly process should look like this:
1)
Remove the blade cover (see Fig. 10).
2)
Remove the sharpener (a) and turn the regulation
knob to „0".
3)
Loosen the 3 or 4 screws (f) (depending on the
model) securing the blade.
4)
Carefully remove the blade without touching its
sharp edges.
The knife cover should be cleaned with hot water and
a neutral detergent.

Washing the sharpener
Sharpener stones should be cleaned with a brush. The
sharpening stones must be placed in a safe position, i.e.
they must be facing away from the knife.
Deflector cleaning
To remove the deflector, unscrew the two mounting screws
(a) (see fig. 12).
Clean the deflector with warm water and a neutral
detergent.
