Relationship to the
authorities in various
countries
The Jøtul I 80 Mini/Maxi - Classic, Harmony and Panorama
are clean burning fireplaces.
Installation of a fireplace must be done according to the
laws and regulations of each country.
Warning! Please ensure that there is adequate ventilation
in the room in which the stove is to be installed. An
inadequate air supply could cause smoke gas to escape
into the room. This can lead to drowsiness, nausea and
sickness and is extremely dangerous.
Assembly and installation must be carried out in accordance
with: Assembly, installation and user instructions that are
included with the product.
The installation may only be commissioned when it has
been inspected and is pronounced ready.
Your dealer can provide assistance in ensuring that your
installation is safe and legal.
The product data plate is located on the heat shield and is
made of heat-resistant material. The following information
is listed on the data plate: Manufacturer and address,
model number, manufacturing number, rated heat output,
registration number (after assignment), DIN-standard
number, style, and safety measurements. The control stamp
is located next to the data plate.
Pre-installation checks
Warning! Please ensure that there is adequate ventilation
to the room in which the fire is to be installed. An air brick
or wall vent with a minimum size of 9" x 3" (230 x 75mm) is
needed to supply air to the fire.
Using a fireplace requires a plentiful supply of fresh air to
the room where the product is installed. If the house is
sealed, the room ought to be equipped with extra fresh air
supply through vents. Avoid using mechanical fan vents in
a room with a fireplace. This may cause negative pressure
and draw poisonous gases into the room.
NB! This can lead to drowsiness, nausea and sickness and is
extremely dangerous.
It is important to ensure that the chimney or flue system
into which the fire is to be installed is working properly.
Products of combustion which enter a room could be a
serious health risk. Before installation, therefore, the
chimney and/or flue system must be inspected by a qualified
professional and passed as suitable.
