Use only properly rated fuses when replacement is necessary. See the
Specifications section of this manual.
Fuse Replacement (Fig. 3)
1. Follow steps 1 through 3 under
Battery Replacement.
2. After unfastening case back,
carefully turn unit over and lift up
case front to reveal circuit board.
Do not remove screws from the
circuit board.
3. Remove defective fuse by gently
prying one end of the fuse loose
and sliding the fuse out of the
holder.
4. Install a new fuse of the same size
and rating. Check that new fuse is
centered in fuse holder.
5. Check rotary switch and circuit board switch - both should be in the OFF position.
6. Place circuit board back in position. Turn unit over. Check battery leads so that they will
not be pinched when case is reassembled. Reassemble case halves; make sure all gaskets
are properly seated and the two snaps at the top are engaged. Replace the screws and
tighten firmly. Do not overtighten.
