2.4. SAFETY IN THE USE OF FUELS
IMPORTANT: The fuel used for this machine
is highly flammable. If the fuel or the
machine ignites, extinguish the fire with a
dry powder extinguisher.
Gasoline and oil are dangerous, avoid contact of
gasoline or oil with skin and eyes.
Do not inhale or eat them. If you ingest fuel and/or
oil, see your doctor quickly. If you come into contact
with fuel or oil, clean it with plenty of soap and water
as soon as possible. If your eyes or skin feel irritated
afterwards, see a doctor immediately.
Do not refuel in closed or poorly ventilated places.
Fuel and oil vapors contain dangerous chemicals.
In the event of a concentration of gases caused by
insufficient ventilation, remove anything from the
area that impedes the flow of clean air to improve
ventilation and do not return to the area unless you
have properly ventilated the area and are clear that
the ventilation is sufficient so that this concentration
does not occur again.
Gasoline and oil are extremely flammable
and explosive under certain conditions. Do
not smoke and do not bring flames, sparks
or heat sources near the machine. Do not smoke
while transporting fuel, when filling the tank or when
working.
Do not refuel in places where there is the
presence of flames, sparks or intense
sources of heat. Always fill the tank in well-
ventilated areas and with the engine stopped. Do not
overflow fuel by attempting to overfill the fuel tank.
In the event of a fuel leak be sure to eliminate these
leaks completely before starting, move the machine
away from the spill area and avoid any source of
ignition until the vapors have dissipated.
Add fuel before starting the machine.
Never remove the fuel tank cap while the engine is
running or when the machine is hot.
Do not refuel in closed or poorly ventilated places or
near open flames.
Make sure the gas cap is properly closed while using
the machine.
Be sure to properly close the fuel cap after refueling.
Always store fuel in approved containers that comply
with European regulations.
Do not use fuel that has been stored for more than 2
months. Fuel stored too long will make the machine
more difficult to start and will result in poor engine
performance. IF the fuel has been in the machine
tank for more than two months, remove it from the
machine and replace it with one in perfect condition.
2.5. USE AND CARE OF THE MACHINE
Do not use the machine on steep slopes where it
cannot guarantee your safety. If you work on slopes,
slow down your work and make sure you have good
stability.
Keep this machine. Check moving parts for
misalignment or binding, broken parts, or other
conditions that may affect the operation of this
machine. Whenever this machine is damaged, repair
it before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained machines.
If the cutting tool hits something foreign while it is
running, stop the engine and examine the machine
before continuing. If you detect any signs of damage
take your machine to the technical service.
