6.3.3 Lifting strap with fittings

These correspond to the lifting strap shapes C and CR
according to EN 1492-1:
• Welded fittings are to be arranged in such a way that
the welds are visible when using the lifting strap.
• The point of the fitting against which the lifting strap
rests must be such that the lifting strap can adopt
a natural (flattened) shape under load, is in contact
over the entire surface and:
– no damage occurs at the point of the lifting strap
that is in contact with the fitting;
– the lifting strap must withstand the load.

6.4 Marking

The working load limit specifications are legibly and
permanently indicated on a durable label that is attached
directly to the strap.
A section of the label is placed under the seam, which
is also marked with this information for reference
purposes.
