TIPS
·
When sterilizing, the preserved food must be heated to at least 100°C. When pasteurizing, the
temperature is 80°C.
·
The device can be used for many purposes: for preserving, boiling, heating in a bain-marie,
preparation of hot drinks, blanching vegetables, etc.
·
Thick viscous foods which burn easily must be heated slowly while being stirred continuously.
·
If your device boils dry, the dry cook safety prevents overheating. Let the device cool down completely
before adding water. This prevents burns by the formation of steam. In addition, the device may be
damaged.
·
Wash fruit and vegetables before canning. Use fresh, ripe fruit only.
·
Green beans are better preserved if they are blanched beforehand.
·
The canning jars must be cleaned with boiling water before use.
·
Do not use broken or damaged canning jars and lids.
·
Fill the jar to 2 cm below the rim.
·
Place each of the canning jars on the grate in the pot.
·
Store canned food in a dry, dark place.
·
You can also can with steam instead of in water. This is faster and more economical. Instead of the jars
being ¾ under water, add about 10 cm of water.
·
Do not tap liquids with solids in them such as soup or that type of food. The solids will clog the tap.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

·
Always first pull the plug before cleaning.
·
Do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
·
It is best to clean the bottom of the pot with a soft brush or moist cloth.
·
When the device has completely cooled, wipe it clean with a moist cloth. Then dry with a dry cloth.
·
Never use sharp of hard objects. This may cause scratches.
·
Thoroughly clean the tap. Disassemble the tap, clean it with mild soap and water, rinse with clean
clear water, and then reinstall the tap.
DECALCIFICATION
Calcium deposits on the bottom will cause energy loss and reduce the life of the device. Decalcify the
device as soon as calcium deposits are visible. Use a normal decalcifier. Follow the instruction described
on the decalcifier. Rinse with clean water after decalcifying.
