Remove any visible residues with a disposable disinfectant wipe.
►
Wipe all surfaces of the optically clean product with a fresh, disposable
disinfectant wipe.
►
Observe the specified application time (1 min minimum).

Storage and transport
Note
For more information on storage and transport, see instructions for use of

After extended storage (>3 months), connect the OrthoPilot
PC to mains power 2 hrs before use in order to compensate for the self-
discharge of the UPS battery.
►
To transport the OrthoPilot
use the special transport packaging. Clean and disinfect product before
packaging in the reusable transport packaging.
Data protection/encryption

The OrthoPilot
USB security key is required for access to the system and
its operation.

►
Remove the OrthoPilot
USB security key and store separately from the
system so the system is secure from access by third parties.

Inspection and checking
►
Inspect the product after each cleaning and disinfecting cycle to be
sure it is clean, functional and undamaged.
►
Set aside the product if it is damaged.
10. Maintenance
To ensure reliable operation, maintenance according to the maintenance
log is mandatory at 12 months intervals. Maintenance must also be per-
formed after every type of repair if the device has been damaged or if the
medical device has not been used as intended.

Maintenance comprises the activities listed below:

Battery test
■
Check leakage currents and insulation resistance in combination with
the OrthoPilot
■
If necessary, install software updates and safety patches
■
Documentation of the test results
Maintenance may only be performed by a person specially trained and
authorized by Aesculap.
